Anta's Fitness and Self Defense was established in 1998 at the Doral Park Country Club's Pavilion in the Doral area of Miami, Florida. Julio Anta the Si-Hing (eldest brother) of the Miami Kung Fu Center (known throughout South Florida for it's reality based street self defense sparring) began teaching Kung Fu and Fitness Kickboxing when his instructor Master Mario Perez of the legendary Miami Kung Fu Center closed it's doors to the public. Today, Anta's Fitness and Self Defense is one of the most successful and largest (number of students) martial arts centers in South Florida.
